
Pastor Sarah Allen
Sarah Allen is the pastor of the Payson United Methodist Church. Pastor Sarah is licensed as a Local Pastor and is attending Seminary in part by internet at The United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio to obtain a Master’s in Divinity. She is currently more than half way through that training. Pastor Sarah also has a Master’s of Science in Health Education and almost completed a PhD in Health Care Administration and Epidemiology. She previously worked in Health Care and Public Health administration for 45 years.
Pastor Sarah began the process to go into ministry five years ago. She was most recently was at churches in Kanab, Utah and Page, Arizona. Prior to that ministry she was a Hospital Chaplain and a supply pastor in the El Paso area while she worked full time at the University.
She is happily married to Terry Allen who is a Certified Lay Minister in the United Methodist Church. Both love the outdoors and are avid readers and artists. Sarah’s son and his wife, Kenny and Fawn, live in Mesa.

Bobby Phylow, Administrative Assistant
Bobby brings a wealth of experience to the church office. He retired from the United States Air Force after a career in Meteorological and Navigation Equipment Maintenance. He worked as an office manager in medical offices in Payson before working at the church. He is a member of the church and volunteers much of his time in the sound booth during worship and other functions. Bobby and his wife, Karen, have lived in Payson for more than 20 years. Gail Gorry, Music Director
Gail is a curriculum specialist for Gila County and brings a huge background in music to our church. She leads our choir, accompanies the congregation on piano and organ, and plays in the Grace Notes bell choir. Gail plans and leads all music for our regular and special worship services. Gail is married to Wayne and their son, Cypress, is the current US national mountain bike champion. Send an email to Gail.

Kristin Mosier, Treasurer
Kris started working for the church in September 2006. She is a retired accountant, having worked at NICOR Gas (outside of Chicago) for 25 years. Kris and her mother moved to Payson in June 2005. Since moving to Payson, Kris has become an avid hiker, so you’re likely to find her on or off the trail, or at the gym, or dancing, or traveling. She’s recently married and with the marriage came 3 adult children, their spouses, and 5 grandchildren.

Lupe Thompson, Custodian
Lupe was born in Badiraquato, Sinaloa, Mexico. She came to Payson in 1978 and began work at the hospital, where she continued to work for 37 years. She and her husband, Don, have been married 27 years. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Hope House.
